– Supports for People Experiencing Homelessness or Inadequate Housing

West Neighbourhood House improves people’s lives through support, advocacy, and public education.

The House offers two drop-in centres, The Meeting Place and The Parkdale Meeting Place, that each provide a welcoming place for people who are homeless or marginally housed.

These drop-in centres meet an urgent community need by creating a community space that offers safety and security and where people meet, socialize, and get help. Combining service delivery and community development approaches, the drop-in staff and members work together to remove problems that keep people from accessing housing, income and well-being.
