Virtual program – The Virtual Peer Support Group is a parent-to-parent group hosted by an Early Childhood Educator.

 

Essential information

What it is:

In this virtual support group, parents share and learn from each other how best to navigate and define the duplicity of roles during the confining times of COVID-19 while getting support for home schooling, working from home, maintaining family time and more.

Who can join:

All parents with children between the ages of 0 and 6.

Note: As this is a virtual program, you do not need to live in West Neighbourhood House’s local area. All children in Ontario are welcome!

When:

Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Do I need to attend the entire hour? 
No, participants may drop in at any time between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
 
Is there any one-on-one support available? 
Yes, we are available for one-on one support with parents and children every Monday and Wednesday by appointment. Please contact Sonia at 416-891-9629 or soniaso@westnh.org to schedule your personal time.
 
How can I get more involved in preschool programming?
We have a NEW Preschool Program Facebook page where we share a variety of activities to keep children and their families entertained and busy through resources, chats, and live events such as cooking playdough, arts and crafts, and Story Time.

We also offer a Parents Virtual Support Group on Wednesday evenings  on Wednesday evenings where parents can relax with a cup of coffee and discuss topics that may be on their mind and a twice-weekly circle and story time session via Zoom.
