Virtual program – Our weekly Parents Virtual Support Group allows parents to relax with a cup of coffee once their children are in bed and engage in brainstorming activities to support their child’s healthy development.
This is also time for parents to discuss any topics that may be causing stress in their lives.

Over an evening coffee, join our Family Support Worker Sonia to learn more about:
- How to encourage hands-on learning
- Setting up experiential learning environments
- Establishing clear routines
- Creating child-friendly spaces
- How to keep children physically active
- Healthy eating habits for toddlers
- Toilet training techniques
- Creating a behaviour modification plan
- Encouraging healthy communication development in infants
- Reinventing screen time
- Encouraging autonomy
Who can join:
All parents with children between the ages of 0 and 6.
Note: As this is a virtual program, you do not need to live in West Neighbourhood House’s local area. All children in Ontario are welcome!

No, participants may drop in at any time between 9:00 and 10:30 p.m.
How can I get more involved in preschool programming?
We have a NEW Preschool Program Facebook page where we share a variety of activities to keep children and their families entertained and busy through resources, chats and live events such as cooking playdough, arts and crafts, and storytelling.
We also offer a parent-to-parent peer support group that meets on Wednesday afternoons and a twice-weekly circle and story time session via Zoom.
