The Newcomer Settlement Outreach Program prevents and alleviates homelessness and housing inadequacy amongst immigrants and refugees by assisting them to settle in Canada.
It works with immigrants and refugees experiencing homelessness, living in a shelter or at risk of losing their housing.
COVID-19 update: Our in-person services are available at limited capacity at our 588 Queen St. W. location by appointment only. We also offer settlement services remotely and by phone.

What services do we offer:
We help participants with immigration and refugee issues, find housing, address legal issues, and access healthcare services as they integrate into life in Canada. We also help people access and navigate other supports such as language classes, employment programs, education, and more.
Who is eligible:
The newcomer programs are open to newcomers to Canada (regardless of immigration status), particularly those who are:
- Recently arrived immigrant or refugee
- Homeless or living in a shelter
- At risk of losing your housing
- Need help getting settled in Toronto
Where:
We are providing settlement services and support in-person by appointment only, remotely and by phone.
When:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Can you help me in a language other than English?
Yes! We have support workers who can assist you in Tibetan, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, Farsi, Dari, Hungarian, Spanish and basic Portuguese. If you speak a different language, we can arrange for an interpreter.
