NEW for 2021 – Our Children’s Care team is excited to offer families a brand-new, appointment-based program that will help children from JK to Grade 7 with their homework during the continued COVID-19 pandemic.

This program is designed specifically for children currently attending virtual school who require some extra support with their subjects in a small-scale environment.

 

Introducing the Homework Help Program

What:

A virtual program offering personalized homework support for all students between JK and Grade 7.

Where:

Online via Zoom

When:

By appointment, Monday to Friday, 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Appointments are available for one hour sessions. Children are welcome to join us for up to two one hour sessions per week. Please contact us at tyheriahph@westnh.org to schedule sessions for your child.

Why did you create the Homework Help Program?
We know that with online-only school during the COVID-19 pandemic, it can be challenging for students to get the support they need. That’s why we developed our NEW Homework Help Program, a daily virtual drop-in program that provides students from JK to Grade 7 with personalized assistance for their homework.
 
Who can join the Homework Help Program?
The Homework Help Program is open to all students between JK and Grade 7.
 
Where does the Homework Help Program take?
The Homework Help Program takes place over Zoom. To receive the Zoom login information, please register for a session by emailing tyheriahph@westnh.org.
 
Who is leading the Homework Help Program?
The Homework Help Program is run and staffed by West Neighbourhood House’s Children’s Program team.
 
What kind of subjects can my children get help with?
Our Children’s Program team can provide support in all subjects, including math, science and French.
 
Do you still offer in-person after-school care?
When schools are open, we run our After School Program only at Holy Family Catholic School. To ensure the health and safety of our children and team, we have limited the number of children attending our program. Click here to learn more
