English Conversation Groups help newcomers to develop language skills and participate in civic engagement opportunities.
The groups are led by trained volunteers and provide support with settlement. The program offers conversation groups, as well as trips and special guest speakers depending on the needs of the group.
COVID-19 update: English Conversation Groups are currently running virtually. All in-person events are paused.
Essential Information
Who is eligible:
All immigrants and refugees to Canada are welcome to register for the English Conversation Groups. Participants must be literate in their first language (reading and writing).
Where:
Currently all English Conversation Groups are happening virtually over Zoom.
When:
We have several schedules that occur throughout the week, mostly during the late afternoon. Please book an appointment for an assessment and to register.
